Previously, Courtney was a senior research analyst for the Republican National Committee. She created releases, rapid response documents, talking points, policy research, and opposition research. Courtney developed and implemented strategies to disseminate the party’s message through alternative media outlets, including news websites, blogs, and the online video websites. Courtney wrote articles for Rising Tide, a quarterly magazine, served as a liaison during Supreme Court confirmation hearings, and was the point-person during the 2005 Social Security debate.
Courtney also worked on trade relations at the United States Chamber of Commerce, was a researcher at the Library of Congress, and studied foreign affairs at American University.
After several years in D.C., the Austin native and Texas A&M graduate is glad to once again call Texas home.
